We
went to Camp
Krislund to enjoy
a different kind
of get to know
each other. The
trip included
sessions on the
DaVinci Code,
worldview lessons,
team building,
and other activities
provided at the
camp.
Pastor
Paul Grabill,
of State College
Assembly of
God came the
first morning
to inform us
of the information
he has learned
about the key
disputes brought
by the DaVinci
Code since
the movie had
come out the
night before.
We also were
taught by Bob
and the other
teachers how
we should view
the world as
Christians
and were given
different circumstances
to see our
reactions.
Another activity
was the championship
games where
teams competed
in flag football,
volleyball, and
soccer. The players
fought hard and
did not leave
without a few
bruises. Although
the days were
rather hot, fun
was had by all
and the cold
showers for the
guys were nothing
compared to
the lack of water
for the girls,
thanks to a
few of their
favorite teachers. |

Air School has enabled
our students to study
outside the walls
of Grace Prep. In January '06 we traveled to Washington D.C. and rural Pennsylvania. While in D.C. we stopped
by the Supreme Court
for a short tour
and presentation.
Although the Justices
were not in session,
we were able to be
in the actual courtroom
where the oral arguments
take place.
As part of Grace
Prep’s goal
to prepare students
to defend their
faith, we had an
intro-duction to
Islam by a practicing
Muslim in a Islamic
Center and Mosque.
There was a tour
of the mosque and
an opportunity
to observe their
prayer tradition.
Afterward, Mr.
Anderson debriefed
us all about Islamic
false teachings
and outlined an
intelligent strategy
to defend our faith.
Next we traveled
to the International
Spy Museum. It
is the only public
museum in the world
solely dedicated
to the tradecraft,
history, and contemporary
role of espionage.
The museum’s
permanent exhibition
presents the tradecraft
of espionage through
the stories of
individuals and
their missions,
tools and techniques.
Exhibits featured
a huge collection
of international
espionage artifacts.
So much so that
Yuri is considering
it as a career
oppurtunity.
Our journey finished
in York, PA at
the Harley-Davidson
manufacturing facility.
We began with an
introductory movie
but it got good
as we continued
on to the factory
floor and got a
behind-the-scenes
look at the people,
processes and products
of Harley operations.
