Grace Prep chosen for International Exemplary School Award by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Of the more than 5,200 ACSI member schools around the world, only 31 were given this award of distinction. Congratulations to our entire GP family. The 29 students and chaperones that traveled to Zambia partnered with over 1000 donors to raise more than $110,000 for the piggery project.

ACSI presents the award to schools that have developed ideas to be more effective in their mission of educating students using a strategic plan. Students are encouraged to develop problem-solving skills, using well-developed and rational plans, using a biblically based Christian view of the world. Students are further encouraged to be sensitive to the needs of those less fortunate than themselves. By developing these skills, students have a better understanding of the relationship between education in formal settings and the world outside their school walls. ACSI’ s criteria for the award include 6 areas for any program to be considered.

Programs must be:

• Unique from what is typically done in a school setting.
• Innovative in its way of thinking or approaching the area being dealt with or impacted.
• Extraordinary in the results and expectations when compared with the typical classroom or program.
• Impacting in the outcomes or significant changes in the lives of students who participate, those who are served, or both.
• Cutting Edge in developing a forward thinking approach to opportunities for students.
• Transferable to another school’s setting.
